Fire Warden (Non-Accredited) Course

Course Overview

This non-accredited course is designed for individuals who may be required to implement an emergency response as outlined in facility emergency procedures, or as directed by a higher-level member of the Emergency Control Organisation (ECO).

Participants will gain knowledge and skills in:

  • Pre-emergency planning

  • Responding appropriately during emergencies

  • Assisting with post-emergency activities

The course also develops first attack firefighting skills, preparing individuals to safely confine small emergencies, such as:

  • Small fires controlled with extinguishers

  • Chemical spills managed using PPE and spill kits

  • Minor vehicle incidents without significant injury or damage
