Fire Warden (Non-Accredited) Course
Course Overview
This non-accredited course is designed for individuals who may be required to implement an emergency response as outlined in facility emergency procedures, or as directed by a higher-level member of the Emergency Control Organisation (ECO).
Participants will gain knowledge and skills in:
Pre-emergency planning
Responding appropriately during emergencies
Assisting with post-emergency activities
The course also develops first attack firefighting skills, preparing individuals to safely confine small emergencies, such as:
Small fires controlled with extinguishers
Chemical spills managed using PPE and spill kits
Minor vehicle incidents without significant injury or damage

Assessment Requirements
Participants will complete practical assessment tasks, including:
Preparing for emergency situations
Performing a safety practice drill
Managing a small chemical spill
Operating as a Warden in a fire emergency (paper/wood fire scenario)
